In the history of armoured fighting vehicles few have been so successful or extensively employed as the French-built Panhard AML armoured car, which was first used during the war in Algeria in the early 1960s. Since then the AML has fought in numerous wars around the globe, notably in the Middle East and Africa, and up to the present day with ongoing operations against Boko Haram in Nigeria and Chad.
The centrepiece of this manual is the French Army Re-enactment Group’s Panhard AML 60 and 90 vehicles, which have been fully restored to running condition
